For your convenience, the HARDWICK ELECTRIC DEPARTMENT now has more ways to pay your utility bill.

Pay by Credit Card

Hardwick Electric Department customers now have the ability to pay by credit card through Transaction Express, a third-party automated payment service that accepts VISA, MasterCard or Discover credit cards as well as checking/savings account payments. This allows you to pay your utility bill at any time.

To access this service you will need your Hardwick Electric Department account number and the amount that you are paying.


Checks / Cash

Cash payments please stop by our office during business hours. Payments by check - mail, put it in our drop box underneath the carport of our office building, or you can just stop in our office anytime between 7:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. The mailing address is P.O. Box 516, Hardwick, VT 05843.

Automatic Bill payment (Credit Card, Checking or Savings Account)

You can set it up to have your utility bill automatically paid with your credit card or withdrawn from your bank account (checking or savings). If you choose to take advantage of this service, you will receive a billing statement every month showing the amount that will be deducted from your bank account. Once automatic payment has been set up, on or around either the 1st or the 15th day of every month (Customer service will inform you of the date), the Hardwick Electric Department will electronically withdraw the amount from your credit card or bank account.
